Saving a dying country.

Our educators are still using a stone aged system that was noticeably designed to create employees not employers; they are taking the heat for the drop out rate, lack of interest and attendance.  This is 2011 a time when pages of a book can now turn themself; spoken word can be printed on a screen right before our eye’s. And a three-year old can operate a computer. It’s time to rethink and redesign our educational system..our needs are no longer Industrial but International: We should be expounding on IT/Tech, Science, Math, Commercial etc. Things that promote creativity..not beating to death a history of hate, filled with half-truths. It’s no loner harming the few it is destroying the masses.

Today my friend (who has been looking for a job almost a year) went in for his orientaion..he finally got that call that says we need you,you can start tomorrow. Only when he got there the guy who hired him had been fired the very day he made the call. Imagine both their surprise. He without a future; and He who thought he had a future to give.

I am not a sophisticate; I don’t claim to know anything more than most: what I am however is a women who has seen, and lived through the devastating affects of child abuse….so in that regard, I my friend am an expert!

Child abuse is a deadly dormant parasite which lingers in the far participles of the abused inner most recess; both mentally and physically. It masks itself behind well-organized wardrobes and hairdos; polished speeches and success. What it doesn’t and won’t find a way to do however, is eradicate the shame, hurt and dysfunction the abused is saddled with: without America first taking a look at it self and what we as a nation have become too value. Hog- wash, I say to all of you who dare to act surprised at the rate of teen pregnancy, drop out, drugs and suicide….you yes You the public and Government has sacrificed our youth for years. I imagine it’s because we have become so mundane and disconnected from life and it’s personal interaction, that unless there is blood,  gore, or fame involved it really doesn’t touch our conscious.
I can tell you first hand most Americans that have suffered the shattering effects of abuse are merely time bombs waiting too happen. Unless given the proper forum and coping mechanisms needed to remove a blemish that festers so deep it has become a major catalyst, ending marriages, spiritual beliefs, sexuality
and lives….. WHAT SAY YOU?
